Is StreamShield free?

Yes! StreamShield has a FREE tier with basic ad blocking, tracker blocking, and YouTube ad skipping. Premium tiers (Starter $14.99/mo, Professional $29.99/mo) offer additional features like SponsorBlock integration, custom filters, and advanced analytics.

Does StreamShield collect my data?

No. StreamShield is privacy-first and does not collect your browsing history, visited sites, or personal data. All blocking happens locally on your device. We don't sell data and telemetry is opt-in only with anonymized statistics.

Can I use StreamShield on multiple devices?

FREE and Starter tiers are for single devices. Professional tier supports up to 5 devices. Ultimate tier supports up to 10 devices. Enterprise tiers offer unlimited devices with centralized management.

Does StreamShield work on YouTube?

Yes! StreamShield includes automatic YouTube ad skipping for pre-roll, mid-roll, and end-screen ads. Premium users also get SponsorBlock integration to skip sponsored segments within videos.

Why do I see certificate warnings?

StreamShield intercepts HTTPS traffic for filtering. You need to install the StreamShield CA certificate. See the installation guide for your platform for instructions on installing the certificate.

How do I whitelist a website?

Click the StreamShield extension icon, then click "Whitelist this site". You can also manage whitelists from the dashboard at Rules → Whitelist. Wildcards are supported (e.g., *.google.com).

How often are filter lists updated?

Filter lists are automatically updated every 24 hours. You can force an update from the dashboard by clicking "Update Now" in the Settings → Filters section.

Can I create custom blocking rules?

Yes! Premium users can create custom filters using Adblock Plus syntax. Go to Settings → Rules → Custom Filters to add your own rules. You can also use the Element Picker (Ctrl+Shift+E) to visually select elements to block.
